Tips For Mentees

 What are the important things should I know? 

This is a structured & paired mentoring program :

  • Meeting topics (sessions) will be on your mentor's profile.
  • Only matched mentors and mentees can see each other.
  • You will reach out to meeting forms if you schedule a meeting.


Check your time zone on the "General Settings" page :

  • Your device time zone and your account time zone should be the same.


 Why I need to use this software ?

Program managers need to get information about your meetings in order to follow and develop your mentoring program.


For this reason, your program team kindly ask you to add all your mentoring meetings on the platform.


All mentors and mentees can be tracked easily with this software.


You will be able to follow all your mentoring activities using only one tool.

 What should I do for a successful mentoring process ?

1- Complete your profile information.


2- Communicate with your mentor.


3- Schedule your meetings and fill out the meeting forms.


4- Give feedback to program management.

 How can I contact my mentor?
  • You can use the best way for the communication.
  • It's possible to send direct message on the platform.
  • Or you can take meeting notes.
  • We are sending your notes by email to your mentor.

Matching for Mentees

How to send requests to mentors ?
  • Go to the "Mentors" page
  • Click "Select" to send a request.
  • Wait for the mentor to approve your request.
  • You may contact your admin if you want to cancel your request.
What happens if I send a request to a mentor ?
  • Mentor receives an email notification about your request.
  • You will receive an email if the mentor accepts your request.

If a mentor rejects your request or reaches their mentee pairing limit (maximum number of mentees that they can be paired with) :

  • You will receive a notification as "not accepted" by email.

How to cancel a request that is awaiting approval ?
  • Only admins can cancel your requests.
  • Please contact your program admins.
How does pairing limit work for mentors & mentees ?

Mentee Limits For Mentors :

  • Mentors or admins define the maximum mentee limit for pairing (maximum number of mentees who can be connected to a mentor)


  • Once a mentor reaches the mentee limit, their profile will no longer appear on the mentor selection page.


Mentor Selection & Pairing Limit For Mentees :

  • A mentee who reaches out to the mentor pairing or selecting limit can not select a mentor anymore.


How to reach out to mentor's profile?

Please check your homepage.

You'll see the "My Pairs" widget to list your mentees.

You may also go to the "Mentors" page to check your all mentees.

How to login as a mentee?
 How to change my PASSWORD and email ID ?
  • Go to the Account Settings page via left menu.

TIPS

  • The email you wrote in the account settings section and the email on your profile page may differ.
  • The email you write in the profile settings section is for other people to see.
  • The email in the account settings section is for you to use when log in the platform.
  • Thus, you can ensure that your private e-mail address is not known by everyone.
 How to edit or access my mentee profile ?
  • Go to the "My Info" page via left menu.
  • Edit your profile details.
  • And save.

Integrations

 How do integrations work?
  • Calendar integrations are adding meetings to your calendars.
  • Zoom and Jitsi Meet integrations create video call links automatically.
  • You don't need a Jitsi Meet account to use this integration.
 How to connect my Google or Outlook CALENDAR ?
  •  Go to the Account Settings page via top-right menu.
  • Connect your calendars to sync your meetings.
 How to connect my ZOOM account ?

Mentees don't need to connect ZOOM accounts to join meetings!

You may connect your ZOOM account if your program allows mentees create meetings without time slots.

  • Go to the Account Settings page via top-right menu.
  • Connect your Zoom account.
  • It's possible to create automated Zoom links for the meetings.
 How to add ZOOM links to my meetings automatically?

Mentees don't need to connect ZOOM accounts to join meetings!

You may connect your ZOOM account if your program allows mentees create meetings without time slots.

  • Connect your Zoom account
  • Select Zoom as location when you a create meeting or add time slots.
 How to disconnect my ZOOM account ?
  • Click the right menu. ( on the top bar )
  • Go to the account setting page.
  • Click on "Disconnect Zoom" button.
  • We delete your Zoom data from our servers if you disconnect your Zoom account.
 How to UNINSTALL Mentornity from my ZOOM App Marketplace account ?
  • Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace
  • Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Mentornity app.
  • Click the Mentornity App
  • Click Uninstall

Scheduling

 My mentor doesn't have any time slot!
  • Please contact your mentor if you couldn't find any time slot to book.
  • Your mentor may also schedule a meeting without adding a time slot.
 How to schedule meetings with mentors ?

Book Time Slots of Your Mentor

  • Go to the "Mentors" page.
  • Select an available day (light blue background) to list time slots.
  • Book a time slot.

Or Schedule a meeting directly :

IF YOUR PROGRAM ALLOWS MEETING CREATING FOR MENTEES WITHOUT TIME SLOTS!

  • Go to the "Mentors" page
  • Click the "View & Meet" button to go to the profile.
  • Pick a date and time
  • Pick a session, location and save.
 Where are my mentor's time slots? (Availabilities)

Go to the mentors page

Click "View&Meet" button of your mentor.

Select an available day (light blue background) to see time slots.

 How does the meeting page work ?
  • Platform generates meeting pages if you book or schedule a meeting.
  • You can take meeting notes and join the video calls on the meeting pages.
 How to access the meeting pages ?
  • You may find all your meetings on the homepage.
  • Click on a meeting card to reach out to the meeting page.
 How are the meetings held ?
  • Your mentor defines the meeting method/location.
  • Your mentor can use our Zoom integration.
  • Your mentor may also use our Jitsi Meet integration.
  • You don't need to create an account on Jitsi Meet.
  • We will provide the Jitsi Meet links for free.
  • Please contact your mentor about the video call or in person meeting.
 How to CANCEL a meeting ?
  • Go to the meeting page via the homepage.
  • For past meetings >>> Click : "Notify that meeting didn't occur"
  • For upcoming meetings >>> Click : "Cancel the meeting"
